Rigdon Edwards : an oral history / interviewed by Dawn Letson, 1992.

Edwards discusses his youth, education, training and his experiences as flight instructor to the WASP in Sweetwater during World War II. He also talks about his efforts to keep the memory of the WASP alive and has been interviewed for documentaries and books about the WASP program.

Born 1910 in Duncan, Oklahoma and graduated from McMurry College in Abilene, Texas in 1931. Worked for Mobile Petroleum Company and was transferred to Sweetwater, Texas in 1935. Learned to fly and bought his first airplane in 1938. Entered the Air Corps Reserve in 1944 and served as flight instructor to the WASP during World War II.
